Update

Behind as always.
Life gets in the way like that.
Since May a lot has happened so I will try to update as best as I can.
Matt had a great summer. We went swimming a lot. He loves the water and wants to go out in the deep water but is afraid of learning how to float in his life jacket.
We went camping for the 4th of July and made it back just in time to ride his bike in the parade.

The fun summer was just that FUN!!
We made the best of it considering Matt's eye did not get better.
We learned that he is allergic to the disolvable stitches.
Less the 1% of people are and of course our Matt had to be in the percentage.
He is also allergic to lacri-lube which is the ointment that goes into his eye to make it moist.
The eye never got better.
One day I picked him up from daycare and he couldn't even open his eye.
So in September right before his birthday Matt had another surgery.

This time they put a sling in his eye (attach the eyelid to his eyebrow muscle).
Well that seemed to work GREAT up until about a month ago.
The Dr. is at a loss for what to do.
As of now we are contemplating another surgery soon.
He is on a new medication that dilates his good eye 24/7.
It also makes it very blurry causing him to use his bad eye and not loose vision in that.
Frustrating but that's the story of our life.
One day at a time.

Matt also started SCHOOL!!!
He goes to the Pre-K two days a week.
The school bus comes to pick him up and drops him off as well.
He is so excited and loves going there.
It is through our school district.
Since he is behind in his speech he qualified for it and we jumped on the wagon for that one.
How can you not. Socialization 101.
Its gets him ready for the real deal and not such a shock when he does start and a little help in the speech.
If you look near his eyebrow you can see....3 little red marks where the made incisions.
He looks amazing.
He is amazing.
He is my hero.
It is my goal to do weekly updates.
I feel like i've forgotten stuff already.
