Fast!!!!

LIfe moves so fast!!! It feels like just yesterday i was on the phone for weeks on end waiting to see if Matt's eye surgery was going to be approved. Now it is down the the last few days. Getting nervous and scared at the same time. All the worries of what could happen and what happened the last two times he went under. I guess this is the for sure time we'll see if he is just prone to reactions to general anesthesia. Its scary but i know that he is in the best place possible and there is no where better to be then where he will be at.

To make things a little easier we have rented a room for the night. It has a pool and isnt too far from the Mall. We have a few fun things planned for him before the next day, like the pool, a good dinner, book store (his FAV) and Krispy Kreme Donoughts. Oh yeah!!

I took my vacation the week before and flew to Seattle and stayed with my near and dearest and bestest friend Allison. It was just what i needed. The stress of work was REALLY getting to me and i just plain needed a break. Not a quick trip break but just a nice break. Her and her husband were GREAT!!! Tony made me coffee every morning (even though i was usually up for a few hours by that time), I had a HUGE bed to sleep in, a dog that was in LOVE with me and Oh how can i forget ALLISON, the bestest thing in the whole wide world. We went shopping and i got lots of new stuff and spent more money than i needed to. But hey what are vacations for right. It was soo worth it and i cant wait to bring Matt back and do all the fun stuff you do with kids.

So no about the plane rides. I rode the Vandals Plane!!!

Life Update...OVERDUE!!

Life has been crazy to say the least. Lets try to get up to date....i just cant believe so much time has gone by. And to think that i would be able to update more..HA.

Matt will be going in on the 22nd of March for surgery. It will be on his right eye just to do an eye lift so to say. They are planing on him staying to night due to his past but we are hoping that the past will NOT repeat and we will be able to go home the same day. But we will prepare for the stay and just pray for the best. He knows that he is going to the hospital to get his eye fixed. He will tell ANYONE who will give him the time of day. At first we played into it but then it got old in like 5 min. It was cute while it lasted.

The snow here is going to be the death of me this year. Every time i think its going to stop and that spring might be on its way snow comes back. its totally crazy to say the least. Ryan takes matt out in the snow more than I do. I know that i should be taking him out too but i just dodnt have the motivation to go out int he cold and just play for more than 5 min. I wish i did but i'm more excited for all the things that i can do int he summer like camping, swimming, ball and all the other fun "summer" stuff to do. Dont think that just because i like being outside i like the heat because i really dont. 75 is the perfect heat for me. If it could just be like 70-75 all the time you would have one happy camper on your hands. Matt is the same way. He gets sick when he is too hot so we'll see how this summer goes.

Matt is moving along with his speach. he is all about the ABC's right now. He may not have them down but he sure does try to sing the song. He can recognize a fair share of the alphabet but some of them take him a few tries but he does get it after 2 guesses sometimes 3. He thinks its really cute and fun and really likes when we get so excited about it.

Matt is 100% potty trained. Crazy to think that this happened all before 2 1/2 seeing as he spends half his time here with me and the other half with his dad. Usually its the other way. Because they split thier time between two houses. Every once in a while we have an accident at night but we still put a diaper on him just in case. Only every once in a while does he go pee but he wakes up at least once int he middle of the night to go pee. It was so annoying at first but 10x better than waking up to a very wet bed.

Matt is in live with clothes. He changes them multiple times a day. MULTIPLE times a day. The first thing he does in the morning when he wakes up is changes his underwear. They are never dirty but he changes them. He is just like his uncle who will change his clothes at least 5 times a day. I give him options int he morning of what he wants to wear but he still wants to change more than that. He also likes to wear his hair in a pony tail. I know i know hes a boy BUT he'll probly be my only kid so i have to get a little girl into it right?? HE HE. He will be a boy for sure when he gets older. He'll be in all the boy things. Boy Scouts, sports etc.

Other than that nothing much has happened. We just try the best we can and pray that he grows up to be the most wonderful person in the world.
