WOW!! Seriously i am slacking big time. I think about blogging late at night when I'm in bed. If i only had a laptop and not a desktop i could do it from the comforts of my bed and you would all be updated on a regular basis. Then i could be one of those cool hip blogging mommies. So much has happened where do i start....
Matt came home from his surgery and everything was going GREAT!!...then a cold struck...that cold turned into this MONSTER that attacked his lungs and poor little man got PNEUMONIA!! Seriously!! It was so sad. He was on breathing treatments every four hours but since his was just a mild case it wasn't too bad. We had to go for a chest xray and everything. He started getting better much better and about a month went by and WHAM!! Again he gets a cold again and has trouble breathing so they start the albuterol again and that doesn't help at all. When we go back in he has a "cackle" in his lungs. So they start us on this steroid nebulizer and that seems to start working GREAT!! Meanwhile he has this nasty nasty cut (ill post pics at the end) on his little finger that gets infected. We thought there was just some sand in it from playing at the park but it got REALLY BAD so we took him in. It was SO bad that we had to go to the Dr EVERY DAY for a week. They started him on some antibiotics and that didn't seem to work AT ALL!! Again we went back when he got sores in his mouth and on his finger (mind you the Internet is horrible the things they tell you is wrong with your kid). We go in again and they start us on a different antibiotic because they think it might be hand foot mouth disease. Well it just gets worse so we go back AGAIN and lo and behold he has Herpetic Whitlow. HORRIBLE!! Its basically the herpes 1 virus (ie cold sore mouth) in his cut. That in turn has manifested to this horrible nasty puss filled spotted finger. IT was horrible. I felt so bad for him but alas he was a TROOPER!!

I can honestly say i thank god every day for such an amazing little guy. He is the bravest most calm little boy i know. He just blows our minds. He is totally laid back and just pulls right through. He has been through so much and i am amazed at how wonderful he is through all of it.
Easter was a blast. He had so much fun finding the eggs (needed a little help pointing them out) but he got the hang of it. He threw those eggs right in resulting in many eggs being thrown out because hey sat in the fridge too long with massive shell pieces missing. I had to work that day so it was up to Ryan to spend the day however he seemed fit and they lounged around the house and didnt do a whole lot of nothing. What a day.

When we went in for Matt's checkup they were slightly worried that he had yet progresses on to any other words from the last time that he was in. We were referred to an early intervention program that does speech therapy. We just got the letter the other day that he was approved so we move right a long with that soon. I know kids talk at their own rates and what not but with Matt's history of sinus infection it could have set him back especially in that precious stage where they learn how to pronounce the sounds and words because he might not have been able to hear correctly. So we are chugging right along in that direction. Besides we qualify for the program and it will not hinder him in any way and can only help, even if it is only needed for a short period of time.
We also found out that my sister had a baby!! How exciting AND he was born on my birthday!!! Even more exciting is that we share that same day with my uncle. How crazy is that??!! So my uncle, mine and Riley's birthdays are on the same day. My brother and Matt's birthday is the same, my uncle randy and brother Stevens is the same and my little brother Justin was born on the day my Uncle Billy passed away. How many important events can be tied in so many times like this. It just blows my mind.

Matt blows my mind. He is such a cutie, a lovie and a wonder to my mind. He just cracks you up at every turn you have to wonder if every kid makes you laugh as much as he does or if he just has a little switch in him that we have yet to turn off. Yes he is not like this all the time. He has his moments MANY times a day. Like just when you are starting to make lunch he will try to turn your legs around so he is facing you so you can pick him up, or when he wakes up in the morning and wants you to wake up with him he'll pull your eyelids up or do a body slam on you. He loves to be outside and will find his coat and stand by the window till you can go out. He found my high heels today and is in LOVE with the. He trotted up and down the hall in multiple pairs of the. He can use the potty right before he takes a bath, 90% of the time he goes sometimes he'll wait till the last minute. He is afraid of the guy that takes pictures at the mall. He loves to hit Blayn over the head, resulting in Blayn attacking him and attempting to do a body slam on him. He is just a hoot. He cracks me up and is the sunshine that i desperately need every day.
