4th of July

So this 4th i wasnt pregnant!! Hard to think that a year ago on this holiday i was very very pregnant. I knew this was one holiday that would be fun for Matt as he grows older and i wanted to start little traditions that will run till hes much older. To start off i wanted him to be in the little kids parade our town has and i couldnt wait. I plotted and planned what i could take him in the parade that would be festive and decided on this plastic red ryder wagon. It would be all decked out and i bought the decorations before i even bought the wagon. Her is the final materpiece.
Had to make a license plate

Holding on for life!! Mom was pulling

Very patriotic to say the least

Towards the end of the BIG parade he got a little tuckered out. He was about 3 hours overdue for a nap so he just took a snooze in the wagon.

He had fun and held on tight while walking the 4 blocks. Hes a people watcher to say the least. It was fun. The rest of the day we just went about our normal routine. That night we waited till my mom got home and lit off the few little fireworks i had from last year that i knew he would like. Only a few were noisy but even then he didnt mind them. He just watched.

Overall for his first 4th i think he enjoyed it and the parade will now be something we do every year. I cant wait till next year when he might be able to ride a little tricycle. The planning begins!!
