Friday Matt had a physical therapist appointment to see if there was anything wrong with his foot. Well Traci did all her assessments and did some little things to him and was writing the whole time. In the end she said there was something wrong with his hip and its range of motion so she wanted an xray done. After going over his background of when he was born and all the such she said there was some definite weakness across his whole right side of his body. When he crawls he doesn't put much weight on his arm and he doesn't use his right leg as much as his left one. His left side is much stronger and prominent that his right. She said this might indicate a neurological order or it could be from him laying on one side and being smashed with no where to go. He is meeting all his milestones where he is supposed to and hes very active so she said time will tell. What a way to start the weekend hu. I'm optimistic and praying that with a little physical therapy he'll get that side strengthened up. Only time will tell.
Then we (myself, Matt and my sister) head off for Seattle. The plan was to get over there around 6ish, Saturday go to my cousin Emily's Wedding in North Bend then spend all day Sunday downtown....all the while hanging out with he family. So were off!! We stopped a few times along the way to let Matt out in the grass to play and to have dinner. He did a lot better than i thought he would but we were also in the car during his long nap time so that helped. Nelly was great in the back with him even though she got car sick a few times. The trip was great and i think we arrived around 6:30ish....GREAT TIME!!
Waiting at a rest stopSaturday we got up and hit a few yard sales. Got some good stuff for Matt. When it was time to leave for the wedding though Matt wouldn't have it. He refused to sit in his car seat and freaked out the whole time. Many of you might not get it but when Matt freaks out it is the end of the world. He will scream bloody murder...puke all over the place...then will gag and choke. Its not fun and ruins the whole day because then he wont let go of you all day. So this is the reason why we did not make it to the wedding. Wont he just fall asleep you ask?? Oh no...this will go on continuously until the car is pulled over and he is sitting in your lap. I have yet to find anything that works to prevent the puking or the choking but its not worth my pain and suffering. He just knew that after being in the car for 6+ hours I'm sure that he thought he was going to be in there just as long. I'm very sad that we didn't get to go to the wedding and see everyone since that was the purpose of the trip. So for the rest of the day we just kind of chilled around the house and played with the goats and chickens. Matt likes watching the chickens....if only we could have some at home.
Sunday we woke up bright and early, said our goodbyes and headed for downtown. We parked by the science center and took the monorail over. Kinda crowded but lots of fun. When we got off and started walking toward the market i noticed more police and people out but didn't think anything of it and went about or merry way. We made it to the aquarium which Matt LOVED!! He was right up to the glass looking and hitting which he does when he gets excited. He liked the salt water tanks i think because of the colorful fish in them. We got some cute pics and had a ton of fun there.

We then went to eat lunch and headed back up towards the market. We got some pictures in front of the bubble gum wall. Completely GROSS but its a must if you go to Seattle. Lots of people but amazing stuff to look at. I wish i had the time and money to buy all those neat things. I just love it there.
Bubble Gum Wall
Pike Place MarketSo we headed back to the monorail so we could go up in the Needle. OMG!! Lo and behold it was Out and Proud 2009!! In Seattle. It was just too much for us to handle. They were having a parade right where we had to cross. It was scary to say the least. It was like mob mentality. Its was pretty crazy. We made it over to the Needle and played a little in the grass right below it. The line was way too long so we just decided to call it a day and head home.
Riding on the Monorail
Space NeedleOn the way home we decided to make a few pit stops so Matt wouldn't get upset or frustrated that he was in the car yet again and to make the whole trip just a little easier on everyone. So we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls. Beautiful! That's the only word to describe it. Matt had fun getting out of the car and going on the little ride up to the lookout. I"ve never been there before so it was pretty neat to see.

Our last stop of the trip was in North Bend to do a little shopping. It has tons of kids outlets so i got a few outfits for Matt at rock bottom prices. I was also hoping to meat up with Emily since i wasn't able to make it to the wedding but i left the directions behind but I'm sure as the day after the wedding she was recouping.
Shopping in North BendSo all in all it was a great weekend and we had fun. Matt saw lots of things and was pretty good for the most part. I know he can do long trips but it takes him a few days to readjust before you can put him back in the car seat. Who wants to be stuck in a car seat anyways. I cant wait to do it again and just hope he'll be a traveler.
Final Leg home sleeping!!Matt is off to daycare for a few hours today so I can get the unpacking done and clean out my car before the 4th. Another 1st for Matt and i cant wait. My plan for the day is for him to be in the little kids parade around town, maybe go somewhere if its warm enough and play in the water then possibly head back down to the beach to watch the fireworks. It will be so exciting and i have a few safe fireworks from last year to let off for him. I hope he enjoys another holiday:)
