I always say how time flies by my does the time go by fast now. He has grown up so much and is becoming his own little person. Lots of big firsts in the last month for him so where do i begin...
We went to Seattle towards the middle of January and visited our friend Jake who was in the hospital. It was nice to see him and visit the few days that we were there and let him know he has our support. We stayed with my cousin Jacquie so that was nice and she was excited to see the baby...even when we got in at 1am she was all ready for us. I love going over there and visiting i just cant wait to take Matt back there when he's a little older so he can do all the fun stuff with us. Traveling with a baby isn't that bad but we opted to travel at night to save us the grief of dealing with a baby who doesn't like sitting in the car seat for more than a few hours but he did great. So all in all we survived our first big cross state adventure in one piece.
Two weekends after that we ventured down to Moscow to spend the weekend there. The main purpose of the trip was to go to a spaghetti feed for Jake to help with medical expenses and visit with old friends. We stayed with my cousin Kate..I LOVE AND MISS HER SO!!! I'm so blessed to have such wonderful family who will put us up when we come and visit, even with a baby. The weekend was great. I got to visit with the family i babysat for while i was going to school and they got to see the new baby...my how kids grow!! Seems like just yesterday i was pushing Kyle and Keeahna on the swings in their back yard. I miss Moscow and wish i could make it my permanent home....its the perfect distance from Sandpoint...not too far but not too close. It was great being able to see so many people in just one weekend.
When we came home from Moscow the next day 1/26/09 Matt sprouted his 1st TOOTH!! I couldn't believe it!! He has woken up and likes to chew on my fingers so i put on in his mouth and he chomped down and boy did it hurt. I was surprised because he showed no signs at all of teething....hes always chewed on things so that was nothing new. Two days later the 2nd little tooth popped through!! Two teeth within a week and he was great, didn't fuss at all.
Hes now eating 3 times a day and still keeps up with all his normal bottles so that is good. He LOVES bananas but isn't so fond of the veggies but were still trying. Hopefully now that hes on fruits and veggies he wont have so many problems going to the bathroom but only time will tell. I just wish it wasn't so hard on him....i try and do everything i can to help but it doesn't seem to.
He is also rolling from his stomach to back and back to stomach so his new bed is now his crib and its very nice because now I'm getting more sleep and i can let him just lay in there and talk to himself in the morning while i am trying to get some last minute z's until I'm ready to get up for the day....which isn't much longer after he gets up so don't think i leave him in there all morning. His insistent talking gets me going.
I've also finally decided to get all his shots...yes i know I've been putting them off till i was ready and now I'm ready so he'll be up date. It just took me a bit of research and some patience but I'm ready...now only if it didn't hurt him so much.
So as you can see a lot has happened in the last month. Stay tuned as I'm sure there will be more to come.
